IMA Director appointed to University of Wollongong's Faculty of Business Advisory Committee

Leading Australian business to business marketing agency, IMA is pleased to announce the appointment of its Director and General Manager, Leo Kerema, to the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Business at the University of Wollongong.
Mr Kerema's experience in business marketing has been built from the ground up. He began his career as a metallurgist at BHP's Port Kembla steelworks then made a smooth transition into marketing, holding a number of senior sales and marketing roles during his 20-plus years with BHP Steel.
Mr Kerema also led the program to develop and launch the BlueScope Steel brand following the demerging of BHP Billiton's steel businesses in 2001.
"Leo's particular skills set in market positioning and branding brings a new dimension to the Advisory Board's professional expertise," said Professor John Glynn, Executive Dean (Faculty of Business), University of Wollongong.
The University's Advisory Board currently consists of well-respected senior business leaders who advise the Faculty on its strategy formulation and business planning.
"University Business Faculties operate in a globally competitive market which requires them to gain and uphold a reputation for high quality teaching and research," Professor Glynn said.
"Gaining a good reputation enables a Business Faculty to be well placed in the myriad of international rankings that are key to the recruitment of well-qualified students and faculty."
The University's Faculty of Business has strong ties to the business community and offers a number of innovative educational and research opportunities for undergraduate, postgraduate and high-degree students.
